Audrey's Song - Selah

There were photographs I wanted to take
Things I wanted to show you
Sing sweet lullabies, wipe your teary eyes
Who could love you like this?People say that I am brave but I’m not
Truth is I’m barely hanging on
But there’s a greater story
Written long before me
Because He loves you like this

So I will carry you
While your heart beats here
Long beyond the empty cradle
Through the coming years
I will carry you
All my life
And I will praise the One Who’s chosen me
To carry you

Such a short time
Such a long road
All this madness
But I know
That the silence
Has brought me to His voice
And He says…

I’ve shown her photographs of time beginning
Walked her through the parted seas
Angel lullabies, no more teary eyes
Who could love her like this?

I will carry you
While your heart beats here
Long beyond the empty cradle
Through the coming years
I will carry you
All your life
And I will praise the One Who’s chosen Me
To carry you

  1. That is a beautiful song. I have been wanting to share with you Todd and Angie's story about their daughter Audrey.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." (Isaiah 43:2)

Thanking God for Audrey and knowing that He is fullfilling His purpose for her life and is ultimately glorified. Hugs and love to you!

  2. I have been wanting to share their story with you too. I read about Todd and Angie in a Jan. issue of "Thriving Family" (Focus on the Family), but figured I had long thrown out that issue because I don't keep old magaines...I found it last week buried in my magazine rack and it gave me goose bumps. Especially after re-reading it and finding out their baby's name is Audrey! I have had the article clipped and have been praying about whether or not to mail it you. I'm so glad you posted this song. Still praying for you guys...

  3. Becca, that song is Beautiful just like Audrey.
Please take some time for yourself and Chad and your family to heal. Everyone has a story but stories can wait for now. Just rest. Your church family is lifting prayers in your behalf. We love you all!
